Fundamentals Program | Strength Training in Atlanta
Most people know strength training is good for them. Far fewer know where to actually start, or feel confident enough to walk into a gym and do it.
The Fundamentals Program at Physiovation is a private, 4-session semi-private coaching experience designed to change that. Before you join our group classes, you’ll learn to move well, load safely, and train with real intention. These sessions give you the technical foundation that most people skip and later pay for.
What Is the Fundamentals Program?
The Fundamentals Program consists of four semi-private, one-on-one coaching sessions at our Atlanta studio in Little Five Points. Each session builds on the last, walking you through the core movement patterns that underpin all strength training:
- Squat — build lower body strength with joint-safe mechanics
- Hinge — learn the foundation of deadlifts, kettlebell work, and posterior chain training
- Push & Pull — develop upper body strength and shoulder stability
- Brace — understand how core control protects your spine under load
You’ll learn how these patterns work in your body, not just in theory, but under load and in real time. By the end of your four sessions, you won’t just know the exercises. You’ll understand how to train and you’ll be ready to join our small group strength and conditioning classes with confidence.

Are a teen or young athlete whose parents want them to develop sound mechanics early
Are a competitive or recreational athlete looking to refine technique and address movement compensations
Who Is the Fundamentals Program For?
This program was built for people who are ready to strength train but want to do it right from the start. It’s a strong fit if you:
Why Train at Physiovation?
Physiovation is not a traditional gym, and this is not a standard personal training package.
Our studio is a hybrid rehab and performance space, founded by Shayna Gross, DPT, a doctor of physical therapy with advanced training in gait analysis, neuromuscular re-education, and functional movement. That background shapes everything about how we coach.
We’re not just teaching you to lift. We’re teaching you to move well under load, in a way that supports your joints, your nervous system, and your long-term health.
